The IV Certification Course at Rosewood Career Institute Inc. in Houston, TX, is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of venipuncture techniques, intravenous (IV) infusions, and blood drawing, along with essential information on venous system physiology, fluid, electrolytes, and complications of IV therapy. This 8-hour hybrid class includes 4 hours of online material and 4 hours of hands-on, instructor-led training.

Our IV therapy certification course is intended to provide knowledge and experience for licensed healthcare workers, such as LVNs, RNs, Paramedics, and other healthcare professionals whose medical scope of practice includes IV therapy. Through our IV training, you will gain the confidence to competently and safely establish and manage IV sites.

Program Requirements

The IV therapy certification course is intended to provide knowledge and experience for licensed healthcare workers (LVN, RN), Paramedics, and any other healthcare professionals who have IV Therapy within their medical scope of practice.
Previous medical education or completion of our phlebotomy certification course is a prerequisite for this class
You are at least eighteen (18) years of age
Have a high school diploma or GED

Classes are available in a Hybrid learning mode. All course work will be complete online except skills which will be completed in the classroom. A skills checkoff and exam will be required for students to achieve their Certificate of Completion.

We offer classes throughout the year, with on-site CPR training for your convenience.
